1 Corrintians 13: 4-7

4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

We're Engaged!

Jon Popped The Question!

If you know Jon then you definitely know that he is random. Instead of building up  the proposal he decided to take me really off guard and catch my reaction. On 12/12 at 12pm he got down on one knee as we were getting ready to head out on a lunch/movie date. To be honest I was so taken by suprise that the words he said were just a mumble....I couldn't tell you what they were. Of course I said "YES"!

The next journey on our adventure now begins...

No wedding date as of yet but will keep you updated!

Catching up on the last month...

November ( A Quick Re-cap)

We joined my family in Vegas the weekend of the 11th to celebrate my 21st birthday. It was a suprise to me that my sister, mom, brothers, and Nick were all there to help me celebrate. As we checked into my room they had decorated it all with balloons and birthday stuff. We had a great time seeing the Vegas sites, eating at buffets (Jon's favorite part), dancing, and spending time together with family.

We spent Thanksgiving this year with Jon's family and then again with friends Daniel, Ginni, and Dan for a second dinner.

We were involved in a Thanksgiving food drive at church, that was a blessing to see how many people participated. Everyone brought forth their canned goods on Thanksgiving eve and our small church filled the altar with tons of non-perishable food items.

I finaly bought a car of my own. A 2010 Hyundai Accent (wooohooo 38 mpg).

Now on to Christmas stuff....parties...food....gift shopping....and most importantly, remembering that Christ is the centerfold of IT ALL!!!!!

Hiking Usery Mountain

On Saturday we went hiking at Usery Mountain with our friends Vanessa and Yuri. The hike took about an hour and half and we made it to the top and to the Wind Cave resting point. It was a gorgeous day (about 85 degrees). On the way up all four of us were little chatterboxes which made it a little harder to climb, but it was definitely a good time of fellowship with some great Godly people. We are looking forward to the cooler wheather to come with lots of hikes in our immediate future :)

The Queen Creek Olive Mill

Who knew that Queen Creek has and olive mill?!!

We spent one Sunday after church touring a working olive mill in our new town of Queen Creek. We learned all about growing, harvesting, eating, and making olive products…we even brought home some fresh olive oil :) Yummmy!

Jon’s New Friend

For those of you who know Jon, you know that he is extremely outgoing and it seems easy for him to make new friends. This is a gentleman that Jon be-friended on our train trip. This old man was making a video documentary of the train station and Jon found him to be a fascinating character.

Verde Canyon Railroad

On Friday we went up to Cottonwood AZ where we spent the night and prepared ourselves to embark on our journey thru the Verde Canyon the next morning. Before the 4 hour historical train ride we went and visited some old Indian ruins and took a scenic drive thru Jerome (an old, old town built on the side of the mountain).

The train was a GREAT experience and one that we have been meaning to do for a while,   as mom gave us the tickets last Christmas.
